The High Pressure Fire-Extinguishing Device HDL 250 - Variants
The basic device HDL 250 as a built-in version is suitable for the assembly in fire engines with own water tank. However, HDL 250 is also available in further variants.
Saddle Tank 125 l
If there is no water supply onboard the fire engine we can offer to supply the tank kit 125 l. The saddle tank has the measurements of the base HDL 250 base and is directly screwed to the framework with appropriate fixing materials. The water supply of 125 l is sufficient for 5 to 6 minutes fire-fighting, and usually is enough for the extinguishing of several burning cars, minimum one burning truck, minimum 50 burning car tires, etc. Especially when speaking of competitive companies, it is important to note that the tank can be refilled during operation. With particular built-in conditions the 125 l tank can be built-in even up end or upright, then, however, needs an additional support frame to avoid bulging of the tank particularly with regard to higher temperatures and during transportation.
Further Tank Variants
If a larger water supply is desired, two more tank sizes are available: 175 l (to be mounted on the device) and 360 l (to be mounted beside the device).
Mobile Device
The HDL 250 is also available in a mobile version with live axle, swivel-brake wheels, fixture of foam agent can and push handle as a so-called “mobile device”. This variant is preferably used by factory fire brigades (for operation in production plants and warehouses). As a rule, the mobile device is equipped with the tank kit 125 l (tank kit must be ordered separately). The wheels are also available afterwards as a kit for originally built-in devices.
Length of hoses
The serial high pressure panzer hose is 60 m long. In addition the HDL 250 is also available with 100 m length of hose. Then, however, a wider hose reel is needed and a frame extended by approx. 160 mm. Should even longer hoses be needed, it is possible to intercouple hose extensions on high pressure hose reels with 60 or 100 m (if needed in mobile version)
Special built-in variants
For special built-in conditions in vehicles there are various variants available, e. g.: TS-version with runners for integration in TS 8/8, pull-out rails (with hinged handles, battery load-up socket), high pressure pump shortened to 700 mm with separately supplied high pressure hose reel, built-in device without own battery (for connection to vehicle battery 12 V), high pressure device without frame and separate hose reel for locally separate assembly into vehicle, various variants of exhausts, fixture for the foam agent can which can be built-in firmly.
Power supply variants
Instead of the petrol combustion engines there are following power supply variants available (measurements and weights will vary accordingly): electric engine power supply (electric power) with 10 HP (230 bar) or 12.5 HP (250 bar) for 3 ~400 V/50 Hz electric power supply as before, however also for 3~220 V/60 Hz, 3 ~380 V/60 Hz or 3 ~440V/60 Hz (especially on ships). With regard to the 60 Hz variants the capacities and pressures will vary. Diesel engine power supply (especially with the mineral oil industry) with 10 HP (160 bar) or 20 HP (250 bar). Further possibilities of power supply: oil-hydraulic power supply (e. g. “underground”, on offshore platforms), pneumatic power supply, power-take off supply (for connection to tractors or combine harvesters for fire-fighting of stubble field fires or bush fires).
